Self-Service Analytics
Built-in data transformation tools
Home | Digital Asset Management | iROADS™ | Self-Service Analytics
We know that huge amount of the data that comes into our system only truly becomes useful once it has been transformed in some way – in addition, there are many use cases for the same data, and each may require the data to be analysed in a particular way. Rather than having to contract third parties to do this data transformation, and to avoid the need to export the data and analyse it in yet another software solution, we have built sophisticated data transformation capabilities directly into iROADS.
With our Self-Service Data Analytics features, you can build your own data transformation routines using our intuitive algorithm-builder which includes preset components for data resampling, categorisation and calculation.

Build your own KPIs
With Self-Service Data Analytics you can configure a custom calculation to produce your own KPIs or Condition Indices. For example, using your condition survey data you could produce a network condition KPI to use in reporting.
Categorise data your way
You can set categorisation rules to apply to particular datasets – for example, to highlight areas of poor road condition. With a full suite of logic functions you can create any sort of categorisation rulesets to fit your needs.
Save and share templates and outputs
All data transformation routines created in iROADS can be saved as templates and shared with other users for their own use. All outputs can be shared with others and used with other iROADS features such as mapping and reporting.
Preconfigured complex analyses
A few data analyses are too complex to be built with the tools iROADS provides. In this case we preconfigure such analyses as templates. Examples include pavement residual life calculations and skidding resistance analyses.
Re-sample linear data
Many road datasets are ‘linear’ – pavement surveys for example provide data in linear ‘blocks’ of uniform length. However the length of those blocks is not relevant for every use case. iROADS allows you to resample such data to any length block you need – for example, change a pavement survey from 10m lengths to 100m lengths.
