Licensing
General
The use of any TRL software product is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable licence. If you buy a product online via this website, you will not be able to continue to the payment stage until you have ticked box(es) indicating that you have read and agree to the licence(s), which are deemed to be legally binding. (The text of the licence(s) will be available to read and/or print at this stage.) You can also receive a printed copy of the licence with your purchase.
Our products are specific licences for specified sites and not transferable between users in different offices.
Maintenance agreements
Having a maintenance agreement entitles the Licensee to receive one copy of all minor revised versions of the software modules purchased and of any minor revisions to the documentation of those modules, at no further charge. These revised versions will be subject to the conditions of the original software licence and of this Contract, unless otherwise notified by TRL. The Licensee will be notified about any major revisions. (Major revisions constitute new Versions of the program and would contain new technical features or major changes to the method of operation).
If you purchase ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY, TRANSYT or streetaudit, maintenance is included at no extra cost for the first year, with the option to be renewed annually thereafter.

Academic Subscriptions
Educational (or “Student”) discounted subscriptions are available to qualifying organisations for teaching and education purposes only. In certain circumstances, proof of eligibility or status may be required. Files saved when using an Educational subscription can only be opened by others also using an Educational subscription. Outputs and certain screens are also watermarked as “Academic”. Otherwise, the software is not restricted in functionality and does not differ in capability from when using a fully-commercial subscription.
To cater for IT classroom environments, locally-administered cloud-based educational licences are available as a ‘20-user plus one tutor’ subscription.

Student Subscriptions
Please note, Student subscriptions are provided subject to a valid Student ID. Failure to provide this will result in your purchase being cancelled. Student subscriptions are restricted to creating data files that can only be opened by those also using a student/educational subscription. Otherwise, the functionality does not differ in capability from when using a full-commercial subscription, but please note that they are restricted to nine months.
