Online Store Help

Making a purchase

Locate the item you wish to purchase by following a ‘buy now’ or ‘add to cart’ link from a product page. The product detail pages show the various licence types and other items that are available to buy online. Please note that they do not include products that are customisable and therefore require a quote, and does not include corporate licences, network licences or multiple standalone licences. To enquire about these options, please contact us.

Click on the appropriate ‘Add to Cart’ or ‘Buy Now’ button to add the item to your order.

Viewing your order

After adding an item, you will be taken to the Cart page. From here you can remove items or change the quantities. (If you change a quantity, the price will automatically update. You can also press the ‘Update Cart’ button to refresh the page.) To return to the product pages to add more items, use the links or press the Back button on your browser. When your order is complete, press the ‘Checkout’ button.

Checkout: customer details

Enter the name and address that the order should be sent to, and, if necessary, a separate invoice address. The delivery contact will also be used as the main contact for any correspondence and for maintenance updates. You can of course change the nominated contact details at any time. If there is any additional information that you need us to know regarding the order, please enter it in the ‘order notes’ box.

Checkout: summary and licence agreement

After entering your contact details, you will be shown a summary of the order. Each item in the order that requires a licence will be shown with a link to the licence text. You are required to tick the box next to the link to indicate that you have read and agree to the terms of the licence. (You can print out the licence but you will be sent a hard copy with your order.) Use the options on this page to switch between a UK and non-UK licence. Click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ page to enter your payment details in a secure area.

Maintenance agreements

Most products include a free first year’s maintenance agreement, entitling you to free product upgrades and use of telephone/email/website support. This is added automatically and so not shown in your order. You will be sent more details when your order is dispatched.

Tax charges

The tax applied depends on the invoice address as follows:

UK: VAT is added at current UK rates.
EU: After entering your contact details, you will be asked for your VAT number. This will be used against your order and no tax will be applied. If you do not enter a number, VAT at current UK rates will be added.
Rest of World: No tax is applied.

Checkout: payment

On the payment page you need to enter your purchase order number. After placing your order you will receive an email confirmation, and the product(s) will be dispatched following order and payment verification by the Software Bureau.

TRL Software will invoice you automatically. UK customers are invoiced when the goods are dispatched; overseas customers are invoiced before the goods are dispatched.
